In 1976, Russ
Ellsworth moved his family from the Los Angeles area to Boise,
ID (where a body has room to roam) to start his own
business. Having two sons, Alec and Sterling, Russ decided to combine his
two favorite things and called his new baby Alster Communications. Russ spent the next 22 years as one of the industries most respected manufactures’ representatives. Russ made friends easily. He never had customers, just friends. Russ retired to his wood shop in 1998. Someday he may finish that 1000 watt amateur amplifier. That’s assuming he can squeeze time between spoiling grandkids, visiting friends, singing at church, telling stories…. Alster Communications owes its very existence to Russ Ellsworth. More than that, we owe him a debt of gratitude. He has inspired us with stories of selling service monitors out of an old beat-up Toyota. He has shown us the meaning of leadership. He allowed us to be our own businessmen. He taught us about friendship and respect. The attitude, leadership, ethics and friendship of Russ make our Mission Statement obvious to anyone who ever met him. |
